Why would anyone want to hurt an animal? I can understand hunting...BUT ONLY IF YOU LIVE OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND HAVE NO OTHER SOURCE OF FOOD. Native Americans hunted a lot of animals, but they used EVERY PART OF IT for something. They didn't decapitate the caribou they caught and hang their head on a plauge. They didn't make a stylish centerpiece out of the wolves they captured. They used animals for, not only food, but for housing and supplies. Every part of the animal was put to use. Hunting and killing animals wasn't for sport, it was for survival. And, better yet, the Native American tribes would thank the gods they believed in for said animal! They were grateful and put the animal to use.

But, no, nowadays, people kill animals for far different reasons:

Fur coats. Mantle pieces. Things to hang on walls. TEST SUBJECTS. Sport. Sick, sadistic entertainment called animal abuse. Neglegence caused by apathy. Sickness. It's all sickness...be a good person and pet your local stray cat, give it food. Give to animal shelters. Adopt. Care.
